Sandra and Simon couldn't have been more welcoming had we been long lost friends staying en famille.  A great base for the weekend, lovely breakfasts (particularly the sausages) and they were really helpful with recommendations for dinner, directions, places to visit, etc.  A true Dorset gem!

Old Bakery Wing - 13th - 15th January

Just spent two fantastic nights enjoying Sandra and Simon's hospitality in this brilliant B&B. Great location - and we were blessed with beautiful January sunshine - but what really made the trip was the quality of the accommodation and the fact that nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel completely at home - rather than like slightly unwanted guests in someone else's home, as can sometimes be the case. The bakery is the perfect place to relax - either taking in the views on the chaise longue or taking in the bubbles in the jacuzzi! The breakfast was delicious, and Sandra's recommendations - of pubs to eat in, of cycling routes and of taking a trip to Ringstead Bay - were perfect. We'd go back in a flash - don't think twice, book yourself a break here!
Room Tip: Spend a tiny bit more and go for the bakehouse itself!

I arrived for a weeks local work and was booked into this lovely B&B.  A weeks work has turned into two.
Funny that.
The comforts and warmth of this B&B is not just the heating being on, a large lab on your feet, legs and lap also helps.
What a great place to stay.

26th October (Old Bakery Wing)

Our first night away from the children in 2 years - we couldn't have asked for more (except the grandparents to babysit for another night!) The welcome from Simon & Sandra, & of course Henry & Bertie, was just the start of the excellent service.  The accommodation in the Old Bakery itself is second to none & so much more than a B&B, and so much more personal than a hotel.  The Antelope is a great local pub - great to pop in for a drink or 2, & Simon and Sandra's breakfasts are brilliant.  Thank you for a lovely night - just sorry we couldn't stay for longer - the best B&B we have ever been to!!

Dear Sandra & Simon
We've had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home and that's not least due to your warm hospitality.  From the fantastically comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms to the delicious breakfast and your handy tips on pubs & food!  We could not have asked for more.

Thank you so much for making our stay a very relaxing one.  From the moment we arrived you made us feel so welcome.  Although my husband was working nearby one of his daily highlights was the wonderful full English Breakfast.  Hopefully we'll return in the future.

THIS EMAIL IS FROM THE DANISH TRAVEL AGENT WHO BOOKED 2 COUPLES TO STAY WITH US FOR 6 NIGHTS IN SEPTEMBER 2011
THEY HAD THE DOUBLE AND WHITE BEDROOMS

Dear Sandra

I am so sorry for not writing to you earlier – I have been so busy; but I need to write you:

Our guests (17th – 23rd September 2011) have of course arrived home safely.
I have seen them and talked to them, and they have been so happy for their stay in the Old Causeway Bakery and the way you and Simon have taken care of them.

So thank you so much, Sandra, I am so glad that I chose to ask you if you had available rooms.
If I have other guests for Dorset – or find the time to come to Dorset myself - I will look forward to contacting you again.

For now I send you my regards and wish you all the best till we ‘meet’ again.

The Old Causeway Bakery is the perfect base to explore The Blackmore Vale and wider afield.  Search out woolly pigs on Bulbarrow or play a round of golf at Mr Rosenblum's course near Ibberton.
Sandra and Simon are the perfect hosts.  Having spent the past six days at this truely luxury B&B, it's become a sanctuary from relative visiting, a haven to return to late afternoon before joining Simon (and sometimes Sandra) for a pint or so across the road at the Antelope.
Thank you Sandra for the easy communication over the last six months since booking my stay from Sydney and for your responsiveness to any request.  It has been a delight getting to know you and Simon and hope we can remain in touch.
Simon - what a wonderful blend of debonair......and practicality.  Great breakfasts and have enjoyed immensely your company.
Well done in creating a B&B of such high standard.

We are always warey when staying somewhere new as you never know what it will be like, but we couldn't have been more pleased than when we landed a the Causeway Bakery late Sunday evening.  The house is beautiful and our welcome from Sandra & Simon was so warm we couldn't help but feel instantly at home.  The room was lovely and the bed very comfy!  All a delightful contrast to the previous few nights that we had spent in a supposed high class hotel in Bournemouth!  Personally my favourite bit was meeting Henry & Bertie!  We're off to get a lab now!  Food at breakfast was great too!  Thank you all (dogs included) for a lovely stay!

Thank you Sandra & Simon for making our midweek holiday wonderful!  It's so lovely to have found a B&B with our own space, yet 2 very friendly, helpful & informative people, and 2 lovely gorgeous dogs, on the other side of the door!
The breakfasts were lovely, Jacuzzi bath amazing after walking in the rain (or running!), and the superking bed very comfy (after sleeping in a tent in the rain especially!)
Thank you for being so helpful and kind without being at all intrusive, and for advising us of local pubs where we had some lovely food!  You have a lovely place here - keep up the good work!
